September 2012 HomeDex Report


The NSDCAR September 2012 HomeDex Reports provide August 2012 housing statistics in two separate reports, featuring North San Diego County and full San Diego County statistics.
  • The median price for all North County home sales - attached and detached - increased to $405,000 in August 2012 compared to $395,000 in July 2012.
  • Detached homes in North County increased 3.81 percent in August 2012 to $456,000 compared to $439,250 in July 2012.
  • The countywide median SFD price increased 1.13 percent to $359,000 in August 2012 compared to $355,000 in July 2012.
  • The number of North San Diego SFD listings (active and contingent) declined 4.94 percent in August 2012 compared to July 2012.
  • The number of sold North San Diego County SFD units increased 16.96 percent in August 2012 compared to July 2012. The number of sales has increased in six of the last eight months. Year-over sold SFD units jumped 39.02 percent compared to August 2011, the 15th month of year-over increases in sold units.
  • Median days-on-market for single-family detached homes sold in North County for August 2012 decreased to 40 days compared to 44 days in July 2012.
